QUOTES

Even in medicine, though it is easy to know what honey, wine and hellebore, cautery and surgery are, to know how and to whom and when to apply them so as to effect a cure is no less an undertaking than to be a [veterinarian].

Aristotle, 384-322 BC

Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I'd love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff.

Mariah Carey, CPB (crazy psycho bitch)

Keep your wits about you.

Dr. Wally Cash, DVM

Work twice as hard and expect half as much.

Dr. Dan's Dad, both DVMs

Don't be screwin' around, you don't have the genetic potential.

What Dr. Dan's Dad said to Dr. Dan when he went to college.

I'd rather have a terrorist standing next to me than a Frenchman. (~15 min. later) Oh, I forgot about that, that's another reason I don't like the French, they eat horses.

Dr. Dee Griffin, DVM

In the book of life there's only two women, big ol' good ones and good ol' big ones.

Ice Cube, HipHopper

A virus can be useful to a species by thinning it out.

Dr. Karl Johnson, MD

Be a virus and travel the World! Free of ticket!

Dr. Sanjay Kapil, DVM

Now you can either stand around here eatin' jambalaya or you can come upstairs and eat my ass!

Brian Kinney, QAF Hottie!

I'm a McGriddle away from this being the best morning of my life.

Artie Lang, OCCG (overweight comedian, compulsive gambler)

Our scars have the power to remind us that the past was real.

Dr. Hannibal Lecter, CFB

No amount of genius can overcome a preoccupation with detail.

Marion Levy Jr, PhD

It's better to burp and bear the shame than not to burp and bear the pain.

Grandpa Martin, RIP

Well, I want to try everything in life.

When I gotta poop, I gotta poop.

Heather Rose Martin, CFG (crazy freak girl)

It gets right ugly.

Dr. Patricia A. Payne, DVM

If the present sucks, then look to the future.

I'm just here to be a person.

Rob Reed, Brainiac

If you eat your dog, make sure it is well cooked.

Peter Schantz, DVM Division of Parasitic Diseases CDC

Inch by inch life's a cinch, yard by yard life gets hard.

Dr. Steve Swaim, DVM

Think about it. Sometimes people are just destined, destined to do, what they do. And that's what it is. Now everybody dance.

Justin Timberlake, Hottie!

Get me out of this place!

Last night was awful!! No doubt! I was on the phone w/ robreed and martiansmelli when all of a sudden the power went out and everything was completely black. It was late so there was no external light. I couldn't see anything but made it upstairs and found the light of my laptop and was able to light a couple candles and head to the basement for a flashlight, Thanks Gary for the toolbox and supplies!, and try not to freak out. I was prepared to start studying for medicine last night but then with no light it wasn't looking good. I ended up going to my room and with the flashlight looking at old Medicine exams until the batteries started dying. Then I went to bed. The wind was so awful I was waiting for the windows to shatter or something. After trying to sleep but not because of the wind I went to go outside to check that my scooter hadn't fallen over. As I went outside with the dying flashlight I thought there was a strange wild animal in my front yard so I quickly ran back in without checking the scooter. Turned out later to be tree branches. I noticed my neighbors go outside with flashlights to the yard and then all of a sudden I saw flames and sparks flying in the air near them and they took off running really fast out of the apartment complex. I had no clue what was happening. I then called martiansmelli close to 2 or 3am their time and luckily they were still up. I was looking out my side yard to see what the people were doing and I noticed they were looking up at my second floor by my bedroom and the tree outside my window. The tree looked like it was really to burn. Sparks were flying in the tree and it sounded like a bug zapper. Then the wind would blow and burning tree parts would fly off, just like a campfire. This is when I got really scared that my place would burn down. I didn't hear any sirens or anything so it seemed no one had called anyone. robreed told me to call 911 so I did. The lady said she'd call the fire department but I never saw anyone come. I did see a couple fire dpt like vehicles go around the streets but they didn't seem to be coming to my place. Then it really seemed like the fire was ready to start and then this huge blue cloud which totally freaked me out and I had Cleo's lease on ready to go but soon after that I didn't see the sparks anymore. I guess someone killed the live wires or something. I slept on the couch w/ Cleo who was also scared because I didn't want to be upstairs in case something happened. Then around 7 this morning the people came to fix it and were really loud on walkie talkies right outside my place so I couldn't sleep. I ended up staying on the couch until I had to leave for my exam. The power is back on. Kansas sucks.
