QUOTES

Even in medicine, though it is easy to know what honey, wine and hellebore, cautery and surgery are, to know how and to whom and when to apply them so as to effect a cure is no less an undertaking than to be a [veterinarian].

Aristotle, 384-322 BC

Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I'd love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff.

Mariah Carey, CPB (crazy psycho bitch)

Keep your wits about you.

Dr. Wally Cash, DVM

Work twice as hard and expect half as much.

Dr. Dan's Dad, both DVMs

Don't be screwin' around, you don't have the genetic potential.

What Dr. Dan's Dad said to Dr. Dan when he went to college.

I'd rather have a terrorist standing next to me than a Frenchman. (~15 min. later) Oh, I forgot about that, that's another reason I don't like the French, they eat horses.

Dr. Dee Griffin, DVM

In the book of life there's only two women, big ol' good ones and good ol' big ones.

Ice Cube, HipHopper

A virus can be useful to a species by thinning it out.

Dr. Karl Johnson, MD

Be a virus and travel the World! Free of ticket!

Dr. Sanjay Kapil, DVM

Now you can either stand around here eatin' jambalaya or you can come upstairs and eat my ass!

Brian Kinney, QAF Hottie!

I'm a McGriddle away from this being the best morning of my life.

Artie Lang, OCCG (overweight comedian, compulsive gambler)

Our scars have the power to remind us that the past was real.

Dr. Hannibal Lecter, CFB

No amount of genius can overcome a preoccupation with detail.

Marion Levy Jr, PhD

It's better to burp and bear the shame than not to burp and bear the pain.

Grandpa Martin, RIP

Well, I want to try everything in life.

When I gotta poop, I gotta poop.

Heather Rose Martin, CFG (crazy freak girl)

It gets right ugly.

Dr. Patricia A. Payne, DVM

If the present sucks, then look to the future.

I'm just here to be a person.

Rob Reed, Brainiac

If you eat your dog, make sure it is well cooked.

Peter Schantz, DVM Division of Parasitic Diseases CDC

Inch by inch life's a cinch, yard by yard life gets hard.

Dr. Steve Swaim, DVM

Think about it. Sometimes people are just destined, destined to do, what they do. And that's what it is. Now everybody dance.

Justin Timberlake, Hottie!

i had my medicine test this morning. it didn't go so well. i thought it was because i didn't study enough but people that i thought knew more than me thought it was really hard. well there goes getting good grades all semester.

the exam was from 8-9am but you could show up at 7 so you had an extra hour. i got to school about 10 min to 7 but needed that hour to study so didn't take the test until 10 to 8. after the test all we wanted to do was sleep but we still had a full day of classes. i also had to give my 2 min talk in systemic pathology which i chose to do on tom's hematoma since the pictures were cool and i knew no one would be paying much attention anyway. i thought blood and gore would maybe keep their attention.

class went until 2 and then i had to get home because the gas company was coming over to change our gas meter. they had to turn off the thermostat and hot water tank beforehand so when they were done they asked what i wanted the thermostat set to and i said 62 and the guy said 'we're not making much money off of you.' i had to tell him they were making plenty and that the thermostat or something didn't seem to work since you would think with it being set at 62 you would be cold most of the time but the heat seems to come on whenever it wants and lots of time i'm too hot.

i tried to take a nap after that but anytime you come home in the afternoon the dogs think it's time to eat though they don't eat until at least 5 so they bug you constantly from when you get home until 5. ugh! after i fed them i feel asleep for an hour or so. went running at 7 and then to the school to shower since i still can't take a shower at my apartment.

my friends and i were supposed to go out tonite to the bars but when i called jen at 9 her husband told me she was passed out asleep on the couch. since it was just going to be me and rebecca for sure we decided to just watch a movie so i went to rebecca and dan's and watched 'run lola run'. now i'm exhausted and going to bed to hopefully get up at a normal hour so i can start studying for my clinical pathology test that's tuesday and virology that's on friday. is it almost may yet?
